Finding Sunglasses For Your Face Shape

After our sunglasses trends post we received this question from more than one person. Not to worry though, we are here to the rescue! Just keeping these few rules (below) on mind are helpful in answering your question and making your eye wear shopping less of a hassle.

First you need to figure out whats your face shape (check out this article to help you with that).

If your face is round, look for sunglasses where the frames are rectangular or square as you want to create straight lines to lengthen the face’s round curves.

If your face is long, also look for sunglasses that have a rectangular frame as you want to counteract the length of the face and add a bit of width.

If your face is square, go for shades that have a round or a curved frame to add a soft element to the face, also try to find a pair that sit a little bit higher.Your aim is to lengthen the appearance of the face and draw attention away from your strong jawline.

If you face heart-shaped or triangular, your best pick are aviators to balance out your pointy chin and wide forehead.

If you have an oval face, you’re one of the lucky gals out there! Almost all styles of sunglasses out there will flatter your face because the face is proportionally balanced.

When it comes down to the shade of your sunglasses, here is an easy rule to follow. Go for shades that are close to your hair color. It’s always a safe choice and a trendy one! Guaranteed.  So if you’re brunette, go for a pair of sunglasses that have a dark shade. Yet, black sunglasses will look great on everyone!

Tip : Look for sunglasses that contrast your face shape!
