Who much are you meant to tip?

You know the how much should i leave dilemma after every meal or manicure? We put together a guide to help you know the basic rules of tipping. Please note that these are not set rules and alternate from place to place and how good you think the service was.

Food Services

Waiter: Not less than 10%, usually 15-20% is ideal.

Barista (the person behind the cashier): Leaving 2-3 Riyals/Dirhams in the tipping jar which most likely equals to 10%.

Takeout: No tip necassary

Delivery: Tip is usually around 8-10%.

Grocery Store Bagger: 2 Riyals/Dirhams is recommended

Hotel Staff

Valet: 10 Riyals/Dirhams is a standard.

Bellman: 5 Riyals/Dirhams or more if it is heavy luggage.

Travel

Cab driver: 10%
