You may have noticed that everybody in the fashion magazines are wearing skinny trousers or dark wash skinny jeans, rolled up at the ankle. Now all you need is an over-sized blouse or over-sized, long-sleeved tee and peep-toe heels and you've got the perfect outfit for shopping and having lunch with the girls!

There are many palazzo options to choose from, from neutral tones which can be paired with white or nude coloured silk blouses for a sophisticated tailored look, or acid bright palazzos to nail the current colour blocking trend. Or you might want to invest in a pair of palazzos with cute floral or retro prints. What's great about them is that they can be worn with both wedges and ballerina flats.

1. '70s Flares

It's all about the seventies this season, and flares are back – the wider the flare, the better. If you're going for jeans, keep the denim dark and pair your flared jeans with a long sleeved denim shirt or denim tunic cinched in at the waist with a thin tan leather belt. Want flared trousers? Keep it seventies by choosing a seventies-inspired shade, like camel, burgundy, chocolate, brown or honeysuckle. Team it with a long sleeved pussy bow tie or button down blouse or tunic, or a long sleeved tunic or dress with a retro print. Most importantly, don't forget to finish off your look by wearing a pair of wedges!

The classic French-style black jean is skinny and cropped, but we like to keep things Hijab-friendly here, so opt for wider and more tailored, vertical cut black jeans. Nail the current stripes trend by teaming your black jeans with a long striped tunic and some black lace up ankle boots. Peep toe boots are particularly hot at the moment.
